There are only a few limitations. First, you’re not allowed to use obscene or inflammatory images. So if you are thinking about including a porn photo as a goof, you can forget that idea; it will be summarily rejected. You can also not include racist or controversial political messages. For example, a few years ago a consumer lost a court case where they had tried to use a photo of Fidel Castro. You also are not allowed to use copy written material, or images that you do not have the rights to.

But other than these commonsense limitations, you are pretty much free to use any image at all. And it doesn’t even have to be a photograph. For example, you can also use a sketch, or any other work of art that you have created. Assuming, of course, that you can digitize the work of art so that it can be uploaded to the Web.
